A Coin in the Fountain. Italian Cafe Society
Florence is one of my favorite places. It has the small winding cobblestone streets with shops, gelato, music, and plazas. While staying in Florence we took two day trips to the Tuscany area and visited Siena, San Gimigano, Chianti, and Pisa.
Before your trip to Florence I highly recommend you checking out WalkaboutFlorence. During my trip I went on the Best of Tuscany Tour which was really incredible. We went to Siena, Chianti were we had a delicious lunch on a Vineyard/Farm with as much wine as you could drink, then spent an hour in San Gimigano, and ended the day in Pisa. You also get a chance to see the beautiful country side of Italy while on the coach.
The other tours offered look incredible as well. The amazing thing about this company is it is local. They only exist in Florence and they execute their tours very well. There was never any waiting for a tour guide at any of the places or at the cathedral and vineyard we toured. We had an entertaining and intelligent guide with us the whole time, and overall it was one of my absolute favorite things I have done in Europe.
I would also recommend checking out the Cinque Terre Trek. It’s a more adventurous tour, so pack accordingly and sadly they cannot accommodate for small children or people with physical disabilities on this trek.
